The New Fairfield Lions Club Annual Independence Day Parade will be on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 9:30 am. We invite you to participate in this longstanding New Fairfield tradition honoring our country. Ask your family and friends to attend and join in our celebration to show our support for those who have defended our freedom in the past as well as the present.
We want to get signups confirmed early to make our planning and your experience much easier. Awards will be given in the following areas:
Best float - $250.00 cash prize! Must be a non-profit, or we ask that prize money be donated to one! This year only to celebrate America's 250th birthday!

The parade line-up will start at Route 37 in front of the New Fairfield Senior Center and continue north towards Hillside Drive. All participants are asked to assemble in their line-up positions between 7:30 and 9:00 am.
The parade will follow its traditional route, marching south on Route 37, turning west onto Route 39, passing Town Hall, and onto Memorial Field, where the ceremonies will be conducted, and refreshments will follow. For participants marching in the parade, a bus will provide transportation from the Board of Education building across from town hall on Route 39 to Overbrook Drive beginning at 7:30 am.
We highly encourage ALL groups to use the bus or walk to Overbrook Drive.

The earlier we receive confirmations from the participants, the smoother the process will go, now and in the future.
