New Fairfield Lions Club is proud to offer scholarships

The New Fairfield Lions Club is proud to offer scholarships to support local students as they take the next step in their educational journey. These awards are designed to provide financial assistance to qualified high school seniors who live in New Fairfield or attend New Fairfield High School. This year, up to $10,000 in scholarships may be awarded.

We strongly encourage all eligible seniors to apply!

Eligibility:

Graduating seniors planning to attend a 2- or 4-year degree/certification granting institution are invited to apply. Scholarships are need-based and are thoughtfully and confidentially evaluated based on:

• Community/Volunteer service

• Financial need

• Academic achievement

Application Requirements:

To be considered, please submit the following:

1. Completed Application

• New Fairfield Lions Club Scholarship Application (attached below)

• Please be sure all questions are fully completed

2. FAFSA Information

• Student Aid Index (SAI) from your FAFSA report

Include your FAFSA application number and SAI only (no additional financial details are needed)

3. Essay (approximately 1,000 words or more) The essay must include:

• Community volunteerism (outside of school; no paid work)

• Justification of financial need

• Future education and career goals

The scholarship committee encourages you to use this opportunity to truly share who you are. Tell your story—your dreams, your goals, and the experiences that have shaped you along the way. Highlight your accomplishments in school, your involvement in extracurricular activities, and the ways you have given back and helped others through community service. Most importantly, be genuine and speak from the heart. This is also a space where you can openly and honestly express your financial need, so we can better understand your circumstances. Your voice matters, and we look forward to learning what makes you unique.
