Sunday, October 13 at Squantz Pond State Park
The Season has turned to Fall with pumpkins and scarecrows everywhere and the weather is starting to cool off. All the trees around Squantz Pond are starting to fill with beautiful Fall colors. This makes the perfect setting for the Annual New Fairfield Lions Club Car Show. This year, we will be celebrating the 31st New Fairfield Lions Club Car Show on Sunday, October 13th, 2024 at Squantz Pond State Park in New Fairfield. Gates open at 9:00 AM and viewing will begin at 10:00 AM. Vehicle Registration begins at 9:00 AM and will continue until 11:30 AM. Judging will take place from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Additional trophies will be awarded to the vehicle that Traveled the Longest Distance, the Best Car Club Representation, the President’s Choice Award, and the New Fairfield Leo Club’s Choice Award. In the event of rain, a rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, October 20th.
Food and Refreshments will be available for purchase at the Lions Club Food Tent. There will be a variety of vendors displaying their products for you to view and purchase.
Classic car owners and spectators come from all over Connecticut, New England, and areas along the East Coast to show and appreciate hundreds of vintage-classic cars, trucks, and motorcycles of many different makes, models, and years. The Car Show Vehicle Registration is $20 per vehicle and General Spectator Admission is $5 per person.
For more information, or to register your vehicle for the car show, please email Mark Lamanna at: nflion@hotmail.com, Jim Mandella at: jmj.mandella@gmail.com, or Doug Williams at: doug@nfpress.com.
The Classic Car Show is the 2nd largest fundraiser for the New Fairfield Lions Club and all net proceeds are redirected back into the many programs, organizations, and charities that our Club sponsors in New Fairfield and the surrounding communities. The Club sponsors annual events for our Senior Citizens, Pediatric Eye Screening, CRIS Radio for the hearing impaired, Scholarships for High School Seniors, and sponsors several local youth and sports organizations. Funds raised at the car show will also help fund our Annual Lions Club Carnival, our July 4th Parade in New Fairfield, and our Lions Breakfast with Santa. The New Fairfield Lions Club is very proud to sponsor over 60 of our young Lions who are members of the New Fairfield Leo Club.
Please come and support the New Fairfield Lions Club and make all the owners of these beautiful vehicles know that people enjoy seeing the fruits of their labor in maintaining or restoring these impressive vehicles.
As always, if you or someone you know enjoys “Serving Those in Need” and enjoys giving back to their community, then the New Fairfield Lions Club Wants You...To Be A Lion! Feel free to ask any of the Lions Club members to invite you to attend one of our events or dinner meetings. The New Fairfield Lions Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm at Biscotti’s Restaurant in New Fairfield, CT. There will be an information table at the Car Show for you to visit and view “What We Do in New Fairfield”.
